ABOUT ANTHEM
Anthem was started in 2020 as the modern worship service of the Loma Linda University Church. What began as an innovative startup with original music and a heart for Gen Z has grown into a multi-generational church community with small groups, meaningful outreach, and 500 people across two services. We are excited to be hiring for the Creative & Communications Director position starting in October 2024
The Creative & Communications Director is a cornerstone role for Anthem primarily covering the fields of marketing and media creation. It will require an innovative, forward-looking mindset and a passion for mobilizing Jesus followers to create beautiful things and communicate effectively. The right person will be a self-starter, able to lead creative projects and marketing initiatives from inception to completion, and skilled in leadership, collaboration, and content creation. Experience in film, GRAPHIC DESIGN, MARKETING, or photography is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing High-Quality Content Creation: Spearhead and manage content strategy for church services, social
media, etc., harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology
Effective Communication: Ensure that all avenues of communication, including Anthem’s social media, website, texting service, and assets for church services, are conveying information clearly and accurately.
Communications Strategy: Oversee marketing and content creation calendar, including setting timelines, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring on-time plan execution.
Leading Collaboratively: Work in collaboration with the Anthem Core Team, LLUC Media, & Anthem volunteer leaders to create content and market events & initiatives. Serve as a liaison between Anthem & LLUC Media, working to build and maintain a strong collaborative relationship.
Team Leadership: Recruit, schedule, lead, inspire, and coach volunteers. Build a team to serve in various areas of marketing and content creation.
Innovative Vision: Continually have an eye on the future, ensuring that Anthem is consistently on the leading edge of design and communication.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Communication Mastery: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with a diverse group of people.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and events from inception to completion. This includes managing timelines, clarifying and delegating responsibilities, clear and timely communication, and ensuring all other aspects of planning and logistics are taken care of.
Teachable Spirit: Proven track record of openness to learning, being coached, and seeking out growth opportunities. Stays up to date on best practices in their areas of responsibility.
Self-motivated: Has a history of self-starting and following through.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Volunteer Management: Proven ability to recruit, schedule, lead, inspire, and care for teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree (Graphic design, video, or other related fields are a plus)
Familiarity in Adobe Suite & Other Software: Proficient in Photoshop, Indesign, and Premiere, and Davinci Resolve
General Filmmaking Proficiency: Overall knowledge of filmmaking, lighting techniques, & color grading, and audio mixing. Proficiency in Final Cut is a plus.’
General Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with formats and aspect ratios for social media, as well as a general understanding of how to best use current algorithms.
General Photography Proficiency: Overall understanding of the principles of photography and camera usage.

Job Type
This position is an hourly full-time position slated for 38-40 hours per week.
Direct Report
Anthem Pastor
Schedule
Tuesday-Saturday. This does not have to be a traditional 9-5 and working hours are flexible (outside of required meetings and Saturday mornings).
Pay Scale
The base hourly rate for this role is $28-$34
Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and other factors.
